800 RMB Electric Bike Crashes Into Merc, Merc Owner Pays For Damage
Mar 05, 2014 By eChinacities.com

Construction worker Mr. Wang was heading home after a day’s work when he crashed his 800 RMB electric bike into a 1.6 million RMB Mercedes Benz S350. Mr. Wang feared the worst, as he knew it was his fault, but to his surprise the owner of the luxury car got out and asked him if he was Okay.

“Are you hurt? Your health is more important than the car,” said the driver. Mr. Wang was a little banged up but nothing serious. Apparently the sincerity of the man was more of a shock than the accident. The driver told Wang that he could see that he could not afford to pay the damages so he told him to flee the scene before he called the insurance and took all the blame himself.

After the incident, Mr. Wang said that the total cost of the damage was around 20,000 RMB and that if the driver had asked him to pay he would have to because he was in the wrong. A payment he would have struggled to make considering his household income was only 2,000 RMB a month.

I remember reading the translation of a story in a small city newspaper from the front page, the headline was "Man falls off bike, passer-by asks if he is hurt." That as a front page story.

I'm actually not quite sure about this story...how would Mr. Wang know the final price of the repairs? Seems a little fishy. Nice moment of humanity if true.

i think some people here to help others and understand others life meaning .... as said No need to feel guilty if you can't be a good man all the time. But anytime your heart is feeling so eager to do even a small good deed, then it might be a good chance for you to be a better man.
