8 Foreigners Detained in Beijing Drug Raid

Beijing police have detained 8 foreigners on suspicion of drug use and drug trafficking. 5 of the foreigners are being held under criminal detention, while 3 are in administrative detention.

Chaoyang police received a tip-off on drug use by expats at an international school. The tip included information gathered from the suspect's Facebook accounts.

Police raided one of the suspect's Beijing Riviera home on April 17 and arrested four male suspects- two from New Zealand, and two from the United States on suspicion of taking drugs.

On April 18, one of the American suspects gave the police the name and whereabouts of American drug dealer Xiao Wen, who was quickly apprehended and arrested by Dongcheng police at Baochao Hutong. Police seized about four grams of marijuana from the arrested dealer.

The police then set up a sting with Xiao Wen in which he called his suppliers, Hamm from Sierra Leone, and Da Shan from Mali, to meet up. Hamm was arrested carrying 9.25 grams of methamphetamine, and 1.93 grams of heroin, and Da Shan was carrying 22.46 grams of heroin.

They deserve their justified fruits for their stupidity and complete lack of respect for the culture and society they so miserably failed to evaluate before attempting to violate their laws and standards.

The dealers probably will. If one gets caught with that stuff with the intent to deal, the family gets stuck with the bullet bill.

Haha, Da Shan unmasked. He was trying to pass himself off as a Canadian for all of these years. Anyway his Chinese is good so no wonder he was able to set up business to begin with.
