500-Metre Tall Skyscraper to be Built in Beijing’s CBD

Construction will begin this September on the foundation of the 500-metre tall Zhongguozun (中国尊) skyscraper, located in Beijing’s CBD. Construction coincides with the 2011 Beijing CBD Business Festival and World CBD Alliance annual meeting, which is being held from September 15th-19th. Upon completion, Zhongguozun will be the tallest structure in Beijing (a title currently held by the 330-metre tall China World Trade Center Tower 3 (国贸三期). According to the design plans, Zhongguozun will have four underground floors and 118 above ground floors, and will include office spaces, apartments, three hotels, and will be completely covered in reflective glass on the outside.
