373 Parks in Beijing Open for Free on October 1

96 percent of Beijing’s parks will be free of charge on October 1, to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. 373 parks around the capital will be free of charge including Beijing Botanical Gardens, Xiangshan Park, Ditan Park, Longtan Park and Xishan National Forest Park.

The most popular destinations such as the Summer Palace, Beihai and Jingshan and the Beijing Zoo will still be using tickets to control numbers- the tickets will be free, but there will be a limited number available.
