3 Hong Kong Kidnapping Suspects Arrested at Shenzhen Border
May 05, 2015 By eChinacities.com

Three suspects were arrested for the kidnapping of Bossini Hong Kong heiress Queenie Rosita Law at the Luohu border between Hong Kong and Shenzhen. The day before, police had arrested two suspects at a Shenzhen hotel. One suspect had also been detained previously while trying to return to the Mainland.

Queenie Rosita Law is the granddaughter of late Bossini clothing company founder Law Ting-pong. Ms. Law was kidnapped and ransomed for 28 million Hong Kong Dollars on April 28. When the first suspect was arrested, police learned that the kidnappers had hid their hostage in a cave in Fei Ngo Shan. The suspect caught previously at the border had been attempting the return to Shenzhen to a hotel which the gang used as a hide-out.

Law had been kidnapped and held in the cave dug by the kidnappers. When five of the kidnappers received the ransom money, they called the others who were responsible for guarding the hostage. Law had been led on foot for a half an hour while blindfolded and then released. As she had been blindfolded the whole time, Law had not seen her kidnappers faces. The police believe that all the suspects involved are from the Mainland and there are still suspects at large. Some may have already illegally crossed the border back into China.
