26th Harbin International Ice Carving Competition Ends; Sculptures on Display

The three-day "26th China Harbin International Ice Carving Competition" held at Zhaolin Park (兆麟公园) concluded on January 8th. A team from Russia won the competition with their sculpture entitled "Woman Hunting". A team from Latvia and another team from Russia both came in second place for their two sculptures "Dreamer" and "Conqueror of the Sea". A joint Russia-US team ("Above the Clouds"), a team from Beijing ("Eastern Sea Voyage") and a team from Thailand ("Paradise") shared third place. A team from the United Arab Emirates won the most creative sculpture award, while an award for craftsmanship went to another team from Thailand ("Believe"), and the special jury award went to a Canadian team "Raven Stealing the Sun". The sculptures created for this competition will be on display for free at Zhaolin Park.
