A 22 year old man from Hefei has been collecting autographs of the rich and famous since 2009.

Yu Xueyang, after going to America to study after 5 years, has accumulated over 1,000 valuable signatures. The signatures come from historical figures from the fields of science, politics and military. Of America’s 44 presidents, Yu has in his possession signatures from 25 of them. The oldest signature he has is of the father of the American Constitution James Madison, the most recent is George W. Bush. He also has signatures of luminaries such as Marie Curie, Thomas Edison and Alexandre Dumas.

These signatures are extremely rare and are highly sought after collector’s items, making their estimated market value around 3 million RMB. If they were to auctioned off then their price would be even higher.

Yeah, this is no achievement, this is not a surprising event, and this shouldn't even be news. Rich kid has an expensive collection - whooptie-frickin'-doo. Has China invented a type of news article that's even more inane than fashion and gossip? Perhaps this is the Chinese equivalent to innovativeness.
