2011 Jazz and World Music Festival Begins in Nanjing

The 2011 International Jazz Music and World Music Festival began at the Nanjing Culture and Art Centre on October 14th. German bands König Quarter and Ai Jawala as well as Holland band State of Monc performed at the opening ceremony. During this year’s festival 10 bands from Germany, Belgium, Holland, Canada, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia and China will perform in various bars, nightclubs, universities and other venues across the city. On October 21 and 22, a Belgian band is scheduled to perform at jazz bars in Suzhou and Wuxi as well.
