The 2010 5th Lhasa International Half Marathon Challenge will kick off at 09:30, September 12th. The event is born out of great courage that is typical of the residents living at the foot of the Himalayas, 3,670 m above sea level. Visitors are invited to cheer for the contestants as they start off at the square in front of Potala Palace, and welcome the winning runners as they arrive to the finish line at Tibetan Horse Racing Stadium. Visitors can enjoy different song and dance performances at the stadium while waiting for the runners to finish the marathon.
