Police have detained a suspect after two people were killed and 32 others were injured when an explosion ripped through a bus in Guangzhou last night, around 19:30.
A 25 year old male suspect was arrested today in connection with the incident. The suspect, surnamed, Ou, is from Hengnan County in Central China’s Hunan province. He is currently being questioned by police.
Among the injured were a three months pregnant woman and a person who sustained burns on 60 percent of their body’s surface. 2 of the 32 who were injured are in a critical condition.
The blast is one of several in recent weeks; just 10 days ago, a man deliberately set fire to a bus carrying 80 passengers, injuring himself and over 30 other passengers.
