1st Ice Sculpture Arts Culture Festival Opens in Harbin

The 1st Ice Sculpture Arts Culture Festival in Harbin opened on December 15th, with the lighting of a 10-metre-tall Christmas tree made of ice. The festival is being held on Zhongyang Dajie (中央大街), and features 33 ice sculptures, designed and carved by the world’s top ice sculpture artists. In related news, the 2012 International Ice and Snow Festival in Harbin is scheduled to open on January 5th.
