The 14th Shanghai International Film Festival will be held June 11-19, according to an announcement by the organizing committee released on May 26. The festival will include seven film categories: “Official Selection,” “Tribute to the Masters,” “Spectrum,” “Global Village,” “View China,” “Documentary” and “Animation.” During the eight day festival, audiences will have a chance to watch hundreds of top calibre newly released and classic films from China and abroad.

This year’s Golden Goblet Award jury president will be Barry Levinson, a renowned American director, writer and producer, and winner of the Oscar for Best Director, whose masterpieces will also be shown in the programme “Tribute to the Masters.”

The Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF), founded in 1993, is currently China’s only A-category international film festival accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers' Associations (FIAPF).
