In 2008, Chaoyang District constructed the first group of suburb parks, the largest one being Dongba Park. Before 2009 May Day, the second group of 10 suburban parks will open to the public free of charge. The largest in the second group is Phase II of Dongba park, making the Dongba Area a new scenic spot for visitors to Beijing.
