Wuhan Man Falls From 17th Floor and Survives
Oct 29, 2013 By eChinacities.com

Thirty-three year old Mr. Yang is one lucky guy. On September 29, Mr Yang was helping his friend clean the dust away from his air conditioning unit, when he accidentally fell from the 17th floor. His fall was slowed by hitting two other air conditioning units on the way down and then landing on another air conditioner on the 6th floor. He sustained multiple bone fractures but, miraculously, there was no damage to internal organs.

Doctors have said that his survival is down to the slowed acceleration of hitting the two other units and the ‘soft landing’. They also said that Mr. Yang was helped by his rotund figure which, as the body fat acted as a cushion, protected his internal organs.

Last week, less than a month after the accident, Mr. Yang walked out of the hospital a healthy man. Though, we bet that he now has a healthy respect for heights.
