Wenzhou University Hangs Up Flyer of Ex-Students Calling them Terrorists
Nov 07, 2013 By eChinacities.com

On November 6 a netizen called ““@懒人” posted a thread that read: “I left school. A few days ago I returned to the school to visit classmates. Afterwards, the dean took me straight to the Student Affairs Office [for some inexplicable reason]. It was only today that I finally learned about a flyer with a 1 inch photo of us stuck on the wall of the security room. Above the photo are the words ‘Terrorists’. We haven’t done anything wrong so why are we being called terrorists?”

The flyer consists of three photos of ex-students with a blue background. This was stuck onto a white piece of paper and mounted on a wall of a Wenzhou university. The word “terrorists” was handwritten on the white piece of paper above the photo.

So, what would prompt this school to defame their ex students like this? According to the reports, the netizen, a Mr Liu from Wenzhou, was kicked out of the school two weeks prior after getting into a fight with other students. After being expelled, Liu went back to the campus on numerous occasions to visit friends. He would visit the campus with two classmates surnamed Hu and Lin, who were also expelled at the same time. Sounds pretty harmless, right?

Well according to the head teacher Mr Zhang, Liu and his friends returned again on November 3, this time seriously disrupting the class. Mr Zhang then gave photos of the three former students to security so that they can recognize them and ban them from entering in the future. However, he and all other teachers deny ever telling the security guards to hang up the pictures or write insulting text above their names.

As it turns out, the security guard Mr Li stuck the photos with the words “terrorists” on the wall himself as a means for him to spot the banned ex-students. Mr Li has since been given a telling off and has apologized to the three former students.
