China has come a long way since the days when public displays of affection were strictly forbidden, but excessive PDA is still pretty hard to handle for some.
A pair of lovebirds was photographed recently after their three stops-long subway make out session 'nauseated’ their fellow passengers. The photo which was posted on Weibo, showed the couple kissing and touching each other, saying ‘Do you want me?’ and ‘ Do you love me?’ with no regard for their fellow passengers. The people around them just awkwardly stared at their phones.
The photo attracted criticism from netizens who chastised the couple for failing to pay attention to propriety.

i agree with Islandboy. There are definitely things one should reserve for when a couple has privacy. Of course I am not against showing affection in public. However, i wouldn't like to see a couple getting too intimate in front of everyone... I also agree that the people doing that might just want to get attention.. If it happens though , I do not think it should be spread online for all to see.

Maybe they just wanted to become famous, who knows? lol I've seen them doing "such things" on purpose just to get people's attention, hahaha.

Great job! Wish this be seen more often. This is how we, foreigners share love. Keep doing this great job and widely spread some love all around. btw. Nauseating is how this article is brought to us. Go find a better audience who can fall for your superficial point of view. It's hard to have Foreigners complaining about this beautiful moment of love.

I would have told him to cop a feel! Jiayou! Funny place where kids poop in the street, but if you kiss your girlfriend on a subway, it's an outrage.

Ive noticed in the Guangzhou subways that many people are ALWAYS on their phones. Im sure this is the case though out China as well. Thus, how can they awkwardly be looking at their phones if they do it all the time to begin with ?

"The people around them just awkwardly stared at their phones." So, just like when an elderly person needs a seat? Or maybe a pregnant woman? Maybe they weren't staring at their phones, they were fake sleeping.

Anyone who lets their kid shit in front of other people has no right to complain about lack of propriety or feeling nauseated.
