Amazing Dive

On August 12th, a RedNet journalist reported on an event that was “soul stirring, brave and jitter inducing”: An internet user posted a picture called “Amazing person! Unexpectedly dives from waterfall” on a famous internet forum. The photographer stated that while he was swimming, he spotted a man wearing red bathing pants standing on the Diaoshuilou Waterfall at Heilongjiang’s Qingbo Lake, showing off his dive. Before the actual dive, the man performed a few stunning, yet dangerous moves, whereupon the photo of this startling moment was documented. Afterwards, the photographer’s post was sent to many famous internet forums. The picture has since become extremely popular online, and he has even been getting compliments about his photography skills.

There is also a detailed description under the post, stating that swimming was actually forbidden at that particular spot at the Diaoshuilou Waterfalls in Heilongjiang. The waterfall crashes into a deep pool together with another waterfall nearby, and is 20-25 meters high and about 42 meters wide. The waterfall’s power and grandeur often terrifies nearby observers. Therefore, diving off the peak of this waterfall is worthy of entering the Guinness Book of Records. You can watch this amazing diving performance every day at 10am and 3pm. However, because so many tourists want to witness this performance, many of the areas near the falls are overcrowded beyond enjoyment.
