‘Devine Swine’ Weighs in at 782 KG at Taiwan’s Pigs of God Festival
Jan 22, 2014 By eChinacities.com

The winner of this year’s ‘Devine Swine’ competition at the Taiwan Pigs of God Festival weighed in at 782 kg. The mammoth pig, belonging to Mr. Liao Guoqing, became the sixth winner of the annual grand prize.

Mr. Liao described the process of raising such a beast. The pig eats up to 15 kg of food every day, gets bathed, has his belly rubbed, gets massaged and has music played to it daily in order to keep its happiness levels up. The lucky pig also gets its own fan in summer to cool down and a personal radiator in the colder winter months.

We are rather jealous of the 2014 Devine Swine winner, could get used to a life like that…until the slaughtering and eating of the oversized specimen at the end of the festival that is.
