Chinese Fake Ticket Scam Discovered at the Louvre, Paris
Sep 16, 2013 By eChinacities.com

China’s “habit” of faking things has gone international, it seems. French police are currently investigating a possible fake ticket scam at the world’s most visited museum, the Louvre.

The incident was first brought to attention when museum staff noticed Chinese tourists with counterfeit tickets last month. The paper was "of a strange consistency, [with] poor paper quality and ink that hadn't set properly", Le Parisien reported. However, the counterfeited tickets began to get more sophisticated in late August, with tickets containing serial numbers and resembling real tickets more closely. Moreover, last month Belgian customs reportedly seized a parcel from China that contained 4000 counterfeit Louvre tickets.
