Three burglars kept it old school this week when they tunneled through a warehouse to get their hands on some iPhone 6 handsets.
Three men were detained in late December for stealing 240 iPhone 6 handsets worth an estimated 1.4 million RMB, according to an announcement made by Beijing police on January 7.
One of the suspects was apparently a former employee of the company that owns the warehouse and so was familiar with the site.
The men broke in December 12-13 and sold the phones. According to Shanghai Daily, they spend most of the profit on cars gold and gambling.
They were arrested after police tracked the iPhones’ serial numbers.
