Anhui School Congratulates “Son-In-Law” Eric Betzig on Chemistry Nobel Prize

On October 13, a photo appeared on the internet, on Bengbu Number 1 Middle School’s electronic notice board by the entrance with a message congratulating Eric Betzig, the school’s ‘son in law’, on his receipt of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

The middle school so very desperately wants to show off their connection to the famous American, and the sign boasts of their link, regardless of whether Betzig has ever even visited.

The school built upon the fact that the Nobel Prize winner’s wife (Gina), attended the school when she was younger; therefore the school must have had something do with Betzig’s Nobel prize.

Hahahaha... so shameless. It is like the other school that boasted their opening was congratulated by Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge and Stanford.
