Is this the real cause of China’s traffic problems?
Two female traffic police from Tangshan, Hebei have been fired after a video showing them fighting on the job went viral on the internet.
There was no reason given regarding what sparked the brawl, though the tussle was only broken up after another traffic cop stepped in to break up the fight. Local police later stated that, “The fighting had extremely bad influences, and their labor contracts were terminated.”
There has been repeated online speculation that the pair were in fact temporary employees and not actual police, though many netizens have joked that their behavior is “too typical of police” for them to be temps.
