Visas to Get Easier for Foreigners Working in China

Skilled foreigners wanting to come to China to work or set up businesses are to have a smoother immigration ride thanks to new exit-entry policies.

Xinhua, the Chinese government’s official mouthpiece, reports that the Ministry of Public Security has updated policies for those applying to work in free trade zones in Guangdong and Fujian provinces as well as special economic zones in Jilin, Jiangsu and Zhejiang.

The move means foreigners with official recommendations will be eligible for fast-tracked permanent residence permits, while foreign students and overseas Chinese citizens will enjoy accelerated visas and residency applications.

Special policies for foreigners working in free trade zines in Fujian and Guangdong were first introduced in 2016. The move has now been expanded to special economic zones in other provinces.

This should read 'visas will get easier for certain foreigners that China is desperate to entice but who really don't want to move there'.
