Pathfinder is the first youth hostel in Hubei. Located close to the Hubei Institute of Fine Art and Hubei Museum of Art, this hostel is a favourite among people with an appreciation for the arts. Situated within a 1950’s Soviet red brick building, its walls are wonderfully decorated with a myriad of colours painted on by past guests; in general, the entire building emits a sense of artiness.

28 guest rooms with a total of 120 beds are provided at this hostel and most rooms have their own private bathrooms, shower facilities and 24-hour hot water. The hostel also has a restaurant that prepare a variety of combo meals and Western food at various prices. Of course, what hostel would be complete without a bar? Besides its social bar and café, guests can also enjoy a book exchange area, broadband internet access, a DVD room, a courtyard and garden area etc.

The hostel itself is conveniently located in terms of public transport and other services provided by the hostel includes free travel info, a self catering kitchen and dining room, free bicycle rental, free badminton etc.

Located on the bustling banks of the Hanjiang River, this hostel embraces ship and marine culture as its theme, and this is event not only from the interior design but from the shell door plates, ship lamps and other random items commonly seen in ships. Even the room names get their inspiration from ships: “Single cabin”, “double cabin”, “first-class cabin” etc. Each room is furbished in a different colour and rooms come with private bathrooms and show rooms as well as free WIFI.
