There’s no shortage of karaoke spots in Wuhan, or indeed in any city in China. Despite the wide choice, it can be difficult to find one that’s not seedy and has a good playlist, enjoyable ambience and the right price. This article explores some of the best options for satisfying the singer in you.
1) Mansion KTV
One of the most popular KTV chains in Wuhan, Mansion (公馆) currently has seven branches in the city. Offering rooms for many different sized groups, the Mansion KTV keeps up to date with its songs and doesn’t disappoint with its selection of English songs. Much like singing in the shower, the sound systems at Mansion will make even the most off-key singers sound good (this might be debatable). We recommended weekend-goers to book online before arriving, as it gets very busy at this time.

2) Music Star KTV (Liudu Bridge Branch)View In Map
With five branches across the city, Music Star KTV (米乐星KTV) is a well-established name around Wuhan, with the Liudu Bridge branch being the most popular. Offering a wide choice of Chinese, Korean, Japanese and English songs, Music Star competes with the best in terms of song variety. Although the sound is great, the rooms are a little dark, though you could say that simply adds to the atmosphere. Prices are average, though they do go up during weekends and festival times.

One of the most popular karaoke spots in Wuhan for almost ten years now, Yangguang Qian Gui (阳光钱柜) doesn’t look as flashy as some of the other big name KTV rooms, but offers a healthy mix of old and new songs for everyone to enjoy. The prices are also very reasonable (49 RMB from 13:00-19:00), and the place offers food such as pizza and popcorn. Late-night partygoers should take note: this karaoke spot closes at 02:00.

The price may be a little high, though the building has over 100 rooms with the latest technology, including free internet should you tire of singing. The frequently updated song bank includes many English songs, and if you’re prepared to pay 50 RMB you can get a membership card, which offers a number of discount opportunities. 5) Qian Gui (Party World)View In Map
Known in English as Party World, Qian Gui (钱柜) is a famous Taiwanese KTV chain that operates throughout the Mainland. Although there’s currently only one branch in Wuhan—ignore any other counterfeit branches claiming to be Qian Gui—this one’s been around for a while, which is noticeable in the equipment and decor. The sound quality isn’t a letdown however, and although there isn’t a great deal of new songs on the list, you can still take advantage of the food and drinks on offer.
