If all work and no play is getting you down, check out these weekly events in Shenzhen. From open mics in Coco Park, to live music in Nanshan, there is something to do every night the week. We've mapped out your perfect week of Shenzhen fun, stopping at events at different bars all around the city.

Monday: Trivia NightView In Map

Quiz Night at Frankie's: On Monday, head down to Frankie's American Bar and Grill to compete in trivia night every week at 9:30. Monday's at the Futian bar are also “Teacher Appreciation Night”, so there are discounts on drinks and bar snacks if you feel like just hanging out rather than playing trivia. All appetizers are buy two get one free and there are beer bucket, pitcher and shooter deals (Go America!). Shekou residents, have no fear, Frankie's is about to open a second bar in Houhai in the next month or so.

Where: Frankie's American Bar and Grill
When: Mondays, 21:30
Address: 288 Rong Hua Lu, Futian Qu, Shenzhen
地址:深圳市福田区绒花路288号

Tuesday: More Trivia Night! Since You Lost so Badly the First Time View In Map
Xpats Quiz Night: Trivia Tuesdays at Xpats: Honestly my favorite thing about Xpats is that it is located right to NYPD pizza and has a MUCH better alcohol selection than the bottles of Tsingdao served at the small pizza joint. Both places are pretty relaxed about letting you letting you drink and eat at both restaurants’ tables, so trivia nights on Tuesdays at Xpats are a perfect way to spice up a pizza dinner (with way better drinks and always cheap Tiger beer). The trivia nights also have alcoholic prizes so come thirsty!

Where: Xpats
When: Tuesdays, 20:30
Address: FL1016-1017, Civic Center, 3 Fuhua 1st Road, Shenzhen, China
地址:深圳市福田区福华一路3号怡景中心城FL1016-FL1017号铺
Getting There: Take Metro Line 1 (Luobao Line) or Line 4 (Longhua Line) to Convention and Exhibition Center and take Exit A

Thursday: Open Mic View In Map

Open Mic Night: Open Mic on Thursdays at Rapscallions in Coco Park is a Thursday night staple for many Shenzheners. Anyone is welcome to step up to the stage. There is usually a mix of singers, rappers and poets but performances are mainly musical and there are some amazing regulars who come and perform every week. Comedians, dancers, magicians, story tellers...whatever your talent may be, come show it off at Raps.

Friday: Dance the Night Away

Drum & Bass Nights: There's more to Shenzhen nightlife than sports bars and tacky clubs with fake booze. If you're looking for some quality music on a Friday night, check out the postings here by a few different organizers. The Mantis Project, the Collectiv and Musik Box come together to throw great parties at locations in Coco, Sea World and OCT.

Getting There: Every Friday is a different location, but popular ones include Bang Club (take metro Line 1 (Luobao Line) to Shopping Park) and Little India (Shekou Line) in Shekou (take metro Line 2 to Sea World).

Saturday: Get Creative View In Map

OCT-Loft Creative Street Market: The artsy market runs on OCT-Loft's T-street every first weekend of the month. Sunday: Unplug and Chill Out View In Map

Unplugged at V Bar: Have a chill drink at V Bar in Shenzhen and listen to the bar's acoustic house band which plays every Tuesday and Sunday. The venue boasts a large indoor space and an awesome outdoor poolside hangout area. It's honestly a place where you come for the setting (the outdoor tables by the pool are prime real estate) more than the band, but it's a fun and classy Sunday night all the same.

Where: V Bar, The Venice Hotel
When: Tuesdays and Sundays, 20:30-00:00
