Shanghai Disneyland Resort officially opened its doors on June 16. Now the question is: how do you actually get to the park?
1) Shanghai Visitors: Take the Middle Ring Road (中环) to Dujiaqu Elevated Road (度假区高架路) or the S20 Outer Expressway (S20外环). Then take the S1 Yingbin Expressway (S1迎宾高速) to the Tanghuang Road Exit (唐黄路出口).
2) Non-Shanghai Visitors: Take the G1501 Shanghai Ring Expressway (G1501上海绕城高速公路) to the S32 Shenjiahu Expressway (S32申嘉湖高速公路) to the S2 Hulu Expressway (S2沪芦高速公路). Or take the G15 Shenhai Expressway (G15沈海高速) to the S32 Shenjiahu Expressway (S32申嘉湖高速公路) to the S2 Hulu Expressway (S2沪芦高速公路). Those coming from other provinces can reach the south and east Disney entrances from the S32 Shenjiahu Expressway.
There are seven parking lots at Shanghai Disneyland Resort (P1 to P6 and a Disney Parking Lot) and two designated parking lots for electric vehicles complete with charging stations. P1 offers bus parking and charging stations. P2 and P4 are also equipped with charging stations.
Disney Resort Station is the terminus of Shanghai Metro Line 11. The line runs between North Jiading and Disney Report. The line’s run time is between an hour and thirty minutes and an hour and fifty minutes.
Timetable: Disney Resort → Jiading North (5:30-22:30), Disney Resort → Huaqiao (5:35-22:00), Disney Report → Anting (22:25). Jiading North → Disney Report (5:38-22:10), Huaqiao → Disney Report (5:40-21:51).
By Public Transportation:
Bus 50: Chuansha Station Line 2 Station (2号线川沙站) ↔ Chuanhuan Nan Lu Chuansha Lu
Station (川环南路川沙路站) (for Chuansha and Tangzhen, Pudong residents).
Bus 51: Huinan Line 16 Station (16号线惠南站) ↔ Gongji Lu Nanzhu Lu Station (拱极路南祝路站) (for Huinan, Pudong residents)
Bus 52: Zhou Pudong Line 16 Station (16号线周浦东站) ↔ Zhoudeng Lu Tianlong Lu Station (周邓路天龙路站) (for Zhoupu, Pudong residents).
These buses take passengers to Shanghai’s South PTH transit hub (南PTH公交枢纽).
Passengers can transfer to a resort shuttle to reach Shanghai Disneyland Resort.
There are taxi drop-off points at the park’s west entrance and near parking lot P3.
By Express Bus:
There are currently tourist express buses running to the park from a number of places in Shanghai. The buses run from Shanghai Railway Station, Shanghai South Railway Train, Hongqiao Rainway Station, Pudong International Airport, Hongkou Football Stadium Station, and Nanpu Bridge Station. The bus ride to the park takes about an hour from the city.
