Left my home for the first time in my life? China 4 years, USA 2 years, Mexico 2 years and travelled to God knows how many other countries. So before you start making assumptions you should get your facts straight. Why don't you get your brown nose out of Chairman Mao's ass and come up with a decent argument - if you can!

I found roughly 8/10 of these to be true in my case and other cases I've observed. This is from 5 years in Hunan, China - I'm also supposedly the test laowai (I'm American). Take my two cents for what it's worth, but I definitely wouldn't call it nonsense. The gifts of two, for example. I always wondered why some businessmen were so friendly as to give me not one pack of 100 kuai cigarettes, but TWO. Now I know it's cultural rather than that guy being THE MAN.
