Erm my family came from HK to UK in the 1960's and we integrated well but most Chinese today don't care about society. My grandparents came to UK, were given benefits but they worked their arses hard off... I don't imagine any modern day chinese mainlander doing this. I stand by justice and morality... if u want it also put back into society

"The flaunting of wealth brings about racial discrimination which leads to dissatisfaction and retribution." Racial discrimination? How is it to do with race at all? They aren't hated because of their race, but because they are entitled douchebags who flout rules, flaunt wealth, and act like the laws don't apply to them. Of course, the first thing they have been trained to do is cry discrimination and racism, so they don't have to be accountable for their actions.

Exactly, except for the part where you don't get it, and are being a racist douche. White, yellow, black, brown... doesn't matter. Wealth + entitlement = this kind of behavior. This is especially when you add a culture where material wealth is worshipped, and where concern for others just isn't a common practice.

What this articl forget to mention is besides those wealthy second-generations living in an outragouse life style , there are more hard-working, ordinary Chinese people . People just like you and me. Would they all be hated? I happen to have friends and relitaves living in a foreign country and that is not the case.

used to do this and used to do that... We aren't all Americans here as i am amusing you are implying but small minded people find it hard to comprehend things that aren't told to them. but any argument with you would be about the same as beating off with a fork. absolutely pointless, guest.

Robk: I agree that China has a lot of "catching up" to do if they are to reach a place that the "West" feels is roughly on par with accepted norms. And, I agree that a number of the wealthy Chinese that come to New Zealand are also treated with suspicion and even disdain, because they don't become part of the country and have helped to shove NZ house prices to record levels that many people simply have no hope of affording (my hand goes up to that). But lest we forget, the "west" has been extremely guilty of ALL the "sins" that we see the Chinese indulging in now. But since the shoe is now on the other foot, the pain of it's entrance into OUR collective rear orifice is still painful, even if it is something of "sauce for the gander", we in the "west" are unhappy. I'm not saying the reported / observed behaviour of the Chinese nouveau riche is good, right or acceptable, just saying that this is how it looked for them when "we" did it (and still do it, I might add). There's nothing new under the sun. Some days one is the sh*t, some days one is the shovel...

I agree, the Western world has taken advantage of Asia at times but then again, so has Asia. Chinese have been allowed to immigrate to Western countries for quite some time. We are still just merely tourists or unwanted guests in China. There is really only one thing I need to point to to show how abysmal the Chinese policies are towards foreigners and that is the spousal visa. It claims you CAN NOT work legally in China but you can stay in China with your family... So then if I stay with my family in China, we all starve? Ridiculous. What other country has such an imbecilic law?

Congrats to IslandBoy77! You have mastered the prevalent sino counter-argument technique. Bravo! And, by the way, where did the west's wealthy keep their overseas mistresses? Imagine a subdivision of mistresses. It's easy if you try. Oh but I know I know! Chinese love their families (MISTRESSES) more than foreigners! I could go on ... Very entertaining. You learn well.

Robk, please, stop trying to compare the times the Western has taken advantage of the entire world with the few opportunities Asia has. You guys used to import niggers and coolies, REMEMBER? was it a smarter law? was there even a law about it?

white people used to go to china as tourist, like if they were going to a zoo, taking pictures. and you wonder why you are unwanted guests? you don't like china, then go back. now it is the other way around and there are a lot of unemployed white people.

Seriously cock14 guy seems like your typical Chinese who always plays the victim card. Man, that was in the past and you still cannot drop it... Just like relations between Japan and China, the shit was in the past so move on! UK and Germany can move on and establish better relations then so too can China. The past is the past... stop acting like a petty girl by brining in the same arguments again and again... btw the Chinese in the past enslaved their own people.... where's the respect and honour in doing that to your own people. YOU GOT SERVED.
