My favorite face job was quite overtly advertised. My family, including children, were asked to hang out in a model villa in new development. These were $10 million dollar houses. Anyhow, for 3 hours work we were all, including children, paid 500RMB. Pretty weird and cool. My first teaching job was totally a face job. I wasn't treated very well and I was trotted out to visiting VIPs. It was horrible. Of course, if I had known that to begin with I would have had a different attitude but I was really trying to be a good teacher.

Not much difference there either, i have taught in high schools and universities(in two provinces), and in both places I've been specifically asked to identify as American and not East African, not that it made any difference how well (or not maybe) I spoke the damn language. It is what it is.
