Deputy Mayor of Ningguo Accused of Photoshopping Visit to Centenarian

Halloween draws near and it seems the Deputy Mayor of Ningguo has got into the spirit…or his department isn’t very good at subtle photoshopping. Wang Jun, the deputy mayor for the city of Ningguo, Anhui Province, is accused of having the photo of his visit to a centenarian doctored. That, or he’s in fact a ghost hovering in mid-air without any visible legs. Netizens have declared it the former and as such the department has incurred a lot of ridicule.

The picture was published October 29 on the website for the Department of Civil Affairs for Ningguo, Anhui. It shows a group of men all staring down towards the lower left corner at what could have been Andy Serkis in a body suit adorned with glowing balls for reference, but instead depicts a lonely old woman who is trying to downplay this kind of loving, caring attention that is only brought on by a publicity shot.

When the department was contacted for a comment, the person on duty at the office of the deputy mayor specified that he did not understand the question, it wasn't convenient for him to answer, and then he hung up the phone.

Best to keep an eye out for floating officials, just in case it wasn’t a photoshop session gone wrong.

Could they not have made the old woman appear as if she wasn't a gnome?
