Car horns. You made mention but didn't list it. Definitely a biggie. The Jingle Bells on the rubbish truck. Every day. Same tune. Maddening. The 5 foot speakers outside barber shops. Fireworks almost everyday for some reason. The daily morning pep talk and dance show for some small businesses. I get that every morning. Portable player turned up full blast in the courtyard as the employees all do 2 dances then the speech of how good they are, going to be and were. On the reverse side a noise that is missing but prevalent back home - dogs barking at night and cats screaming their hate for each other prior to attack.

You're right, car horns should be the number one. The 'Happy Birthday' on the water truck. The same size speakers outside pharmacies as well (why? Is that a commercial business nowadays?) The soulless music that the elderly dance to on town squares in the evening. The speeches and performances when a new restaurant opens. And I love your remark about the reverse side. The birds in the morning. Heard a Chinese guy complaining about the crickets. Keep him from falling asleep, he said...

Oh yeah that music in the town square. I forgot about that. And how could I! And yes, the ghettoblasters on evening walkers. Weren't Walkmans and earphones a Chinese invention?
