Zhuhai Travel Tips

Zhuhai has a subtropical marine climate, which means that although it enjoys higher than average temperatures all year round, it also has very high humidity and is frequently victim to tropical monsoons and even typhoons. 90% of the city's rainfall is deposited from May to October, making November to April the most popular months to visit the city.

Zhuhai does not enjoy the same visa system as Hong Kong and Macau, which are technically ''Special Administrative Regions'' under China's ''One Country, Two Systems'' policy. To enter into Zhuhai, non-Chinese nationals will have to provide a Chinese visa. Similarly, if you enter Hong Kong or Macau from Zhuhai and expect to return into Zhuhai or any other Chinese city, you will need to obtain a new visa, or be in possession of a multiple entry visa before leaving either Special Administrative Region. Visas can be obtained at the following address:

Zhuhai Entry-Exit Visa Office
Add: 2F, Gongbei Kou’an Dating, Zhuhai
拱北口岸大厅二楼珠海出入境签证处
Tel: 0756 8156 512

Air Show China is held in Zhuhai every other November, featuring flying performances and displays of aircraft. Visitors who like their vehicles closer to the ground may wish to head to the Zhuhai International Circuit where races are held in the autumn.
