Zhengzhou Plans Massive Development of Green Spaces

According a local government report, Zhengzhou plans to build 61 Parks and green spaces in the near future. The plan calls for a variety of different kinds of parks, including seven water parks, a stone Buddha park and an ecological park. Several “themed” parks are also included in this plan, specifically the Longzi Sports Park (in Zhengdongxin District by Longzi Lake), a youth park (in the area south of Nongye Lu), Shanggangyang ruins park (by Nancao town), the Jibocheng ruins park (by Jicheng village) and a sculpture park (at the north end of the Changxi Lake Ecological area). There are also plans for two botanical gardens (one of which will be by Erqi, while the other one is yet to be decided), a flower park and a zoo.
