According to Henan provincial government news, passenger throughput at the Zhengzhou Xinzheng Airport is expected to reach 10 million by end of the year. Currently, there are 17 airlines operating there, with 82 flight routes to 52 different cities and regions; a total of more than 1,400 flights per week. In 2008, the National Civil Aviation Authority identified Zhengzhou Xinzheng Airport as the country's eighth largest regional hub. With a current throughput of 5,887,600 passengers, the airport is ranked among the top 20 in China.
