Taxis in Yiwu are cheap even by Chinese standards. Most fares start at RMB 5 for the first 2 kilometers, with an additional charge of RMB1.8 for every additional kilometer. There is also an addition 3.5 RMB fuel surcharge. Red Flag taxis and Honda Accords charge slightly more.
Cab drivers are unlikely to speak any English and may not read Pinyin. Visitors who do not speak any Chinese should be sure to have their address written in characters to show the driver.
