With construction beginning in January 2012, the 2.2 billion RMB international terminal at Yiwu Airport is set to open at the end of December this year. The main structure of the terminal has already been completed, with pipes and power supplies said to be in the final stages of completion. With fire safety access points and connecting bridges and roads said to be 90% complete, work is currently being concentrated on the application of concrete.
