Since May 2012, the Yinchuan cab starting fare has been increased from five to seven RMB (for the first 3 km). and 1.2 RMB for every kilometer thereafter. A standard waiting fee is charged for speeds under 12 km/hour. The first 3 minutes of waiting are free. After three minutes, the charge equivalent of travelling 0.5 km is added every 1.5 minutes. In terms of price, the mileage and waiting time are both cumulative.
