Yang Liping is China's most famous choreographer and dancer and is celebrated for being a creative and independent force in Chinese dance. Her dance "Spirit of the Peacock" won the Chinese People's 20th Century Classic Creation Award, and she has brought her sensational dance shows all over the world.
