The Singles’ Day 11.11 online shopping bonanza has officially kicked off. China’s top smartphone makers have posted their sales numbers on social media. Here is how they are doing as of Wednesday mid-morning:

Meizu: Meizu is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer committed to making elegant, easy to use smartphones. In 6 minutes and 28 seconds, Meizu made 100 million Yuan on Tmall. Meizhu was the first brand to hit the 100 million mark.

Huawei: Huawei earned 100 million Yuan in 7 minutes and 16 seconds and 200 million Yuan in 16 minutes and 2 seconds on Tmall.

Xiaomi: Xiaomi earned 100 million Yuan in 11 minutes and 56 seconds, and 400 million Yuan in 1 hour and 28 minutes on Tmall.

Xiaomi earned the most out of all three companies last year, and may be poised to do so again. Last year, the phone company sold 1.16 million phones on Tmall and company earned a total 1.56 billion Yuan across all sales platforms. Huawei earned about 1.06 billion Yuan from Tmall, JD, Suning, Weipin, Yihaodian, and Amazon. Meizu came in third to Xiaomi and Huawei in total earnings.

While products on Singles’ Day can be purchased on sale, the products are often low-end or older models. This happens with smartphones and other electronics and appliances sold on 11.11 such as LCD TVs, washing machines, and refrigerators.
