The Strawberry Festival, brainchild of Modern Sky record company and originally in Beijing, has seen a massive outward expansion this year, with the festival rolling into no less than three cities—including Xi’an!

The 2013 Xi’an Strawberry Music Festival takes place at the Daming Palace Ruins Park on June 1-2 and features three stages and stellar line-up of Mainland acts, as well as a handful of Taiwanese acts.

Highlights include electro/disco group New Pants, the “New Godfather of Rock n’ Roll” Xie Tianxiao, Hedgehog, Second Hand Rose and Brain Failure. If this year’s Xi’an incarceration is anything like its Beijing counterpart, you can expect a fun day out.
