As the sweltering heat has continued to make the afternoons unbearable, parks in Xi’an have become the most popular places for locals to escape and relax once the sun starts to go down. According to the City Bureau of Parks, seven free parks in Xi’an have decided to stay open later as a response to the increased use by locals.

Xingqinggong Park has changed its hours from 6:30-18:30 to 5:30-21:30. Changle Park will be open until 24:00 for the remainder of the summer, and will be open from 6:00-22:00 in September and October. Lianhu Park and Fengqing Park will now open at 6:00 and close at 22:00, while Revolution Park and Fangzhi Park will open at 6:00 and close at 21:30.
