Xiamen Binhai Dadao (Seaside Main Road) officially opens to traffic on January 14, 2009, which starts from Jimei Bridge and ends at the exit of Xiang'an Highway.
It connects the areas in Huandong Haiyu (round the east waters of Taiwan Strait) with roads including Xiang'an Avenue, No.324 national highway and Tongji Road. Binhai Dadao is also an express highway for vehicles driving from Xiamen to Quanzhou and Fuzhou with no traffic lights along the way. This beautiful expressway is expected to be part of the race track for Xiamen International Marathon in the coming years.
