Wuxi’s Qingmingqiao Street Named “Famous Street Rich in History and Culture”

Qingming Bridge Street in Wuxi has been chosen as one of “China's Famous Streets Rich in History and Culture”. A total of ten streets rich in culture and history that were recognized in this year's round of judgments. “China's Famous Streets Rich in History and Culture” is an annual judgment event that is developed and administered with support by the Ministry of Culture and State Bureau of Cultural Relics in China. The Grand Canal (Dayunhe) is an important part of culture and history in Chinese heritage, and Qingming Bridge and Street is a commercial area that has developed right by the side of the Grand Canal – enriched by the bustling trade made possible by the canal.
