There are many companies offering a car rental service in Wuxi. The urban area of Wuxi is quite small and can often be navigated on foot or on the local bus network. However, travel between Wuxi and neighboring cities is sometimes more complicated and hiring a car is a popular way to move around the area. Self-drive hire is rarely an option for overseas visitors, however, since a Chinese license is required. However, hiring a car with driver is considerably more affordable than in the West, and there are many companies that offer this service.
