The 2012 Nanchang Folk Music Festival will take place at Qingming Bridge Square and Jintai District Square from April 29th to 30th. Over 30 domestic folk acts will perform during the two-day festival, including popular musicians such as Liu Dongming and Zhang Jianyu. For a taste of what China’s folk music scene has to offer, why not head over there during the May Day holiday and check it out. Entrance is free.
Getting there: to Qingming Square, take bus no. 201 to Qingming Yichun stop; to Jintai District Square, take bus no. 53,67,79,81 or 快5 to Qingyang Lu (Yongfeng Lu) stop
