Operational since mid-2004, Wuhan's subway line 1 currently serves 10 stations, with another six under construction. Line 1 runs daily from 6:00 to 22:00. A second line linking Hankou and Wuchang is also under construction; Line 2 is expected to open at the end of 2012 and will serve 21 stations along the line.
