The D3221 Hankou-Nanchang highspeed train was launched on September 20th, forming a two-hour "railway loop" with Wuhan as the centre. At present, trains run from Wuhan in four directions: Xiangfan and Shiyan in the west; Hefei, Nanjing, Shanghai in the east; Zhengzhou, Shijiazhuang, Beijing in the north, and Changsha and Guangzhou in the south. The average running speed reaches over 200 km per hour.

It only takes 2.5 hours to travel from Wuhan to Nanchang since the launching of the Wuhan-Nanchang trains.
