Wuhan Entertainment Overview

Nightlife in Wuhan is based around the city's Western bars and restaurants. The busier areas are Hankou and the area around the university. Bayi Lu is among the most popular joints.

The Shangri-La Hotel is the place to go to catch a live music show. Visitors can also find a lively atmosphere on Jiqing Snack Street in the bustling downtown area. It stays open till 4am, and visitors can browse local markets, taste some specialty snacks and take in a traditional performance.

Wuhan also holds a number of annual festivals throughout the year. There is the Plum Blossom Festival in February and March, and the International Tourism Festival and the Wuhan Horse Racing Festival in late September and early October.
