Jinan is now home to the world’s largest indoor aquarium. The new aquarium, called Quanyang Polar Ocean World, is located at Qihe County, in the northern part of Jinan. The massive exhibition halls total 88,000 sq. m, and houses thousands of rare ocean species collected from around the world. It is estimated that the aquarium may receive as many as three million people per year. There is also a “4D” movie theater, as well as an undersea tunnel from which you can get an up close look at all of the colourful ocean creatures.
